"BRAHMA-VISHNU-MAHESHWARA"- THE CREATOR 'GANGULY', THE PRSERVER 'DRAVID', THE DESTROYER 'SACHIN'
The "Trimūrti" is a concept in Hinduism "in which the cosmic functions of creation, maintenance, and destruction are personified by the forms of Brahma the creator, Vishnu the preserver and Shiva the destroyer or transformer." These three gods have been called "the Hindu triad"or the "Great Trinity",often addressed as "Brahma-Vishnu-Maheswara.
This 'trinity' concept is used in Indian cricket too, especially in the period 1996-2007. In real sense it too had the same meaning that 'Trinities' in puranas had.
Ganguly the 'CREATOR' who really displayed the talents in player like Sehwag,Yuvraj,Zaheer etc had. Ganguly had the faith in his players, he acutually build a team which can beat any side in the world. When India lacked a wicket keeper batsman, he insisted the selectors to select MS Dhoni, an unfamiliar personality from an un familiar side and rest is history. Actually that shocking decision changed the Indian team as the whole. That was Ganguly, a 'Creator' in all sense.
Whenever the devas had trouble,whenever a new avatar was necessary , Mahavishnu did the job. If in Puranas,it was Vishnu, in Indian cricket team it was Dravid. Whenever the team is in trouble, Dravid did the job. Adelide, Kolkata,lords etc.. witnessed it. Like Vishnu, Dravid also did various roles for the team. As of a keeper,as of a lower order batsman,opener,even as a bowler. That Dravid, real 'Preserver'.
All evils in the world should be 'destroyed'. So that there would be peace,calm,love in this world. It was Maheshwara's duty to keep stabilty in this world. Shiva was a destroyer in all sense and in Cricket,not only in India, all over the world, ' SACHIN RAMESH TENDULKAR' was the name given to the destroyer. Shane Warne, Shoaib Akhtar,Dale Steyn can tell you about destruction caused by SRT than any one. Desert Storm of 1998, First Double Hundred in the Onedayers,and lot moreee... The space won't be there , if we decribe Sachin's destruction in detail.
It would be good to rememebr thsi trio today. 13 years ago, On this day, in 2002, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly scored hundreds that eventually helped India beat England by an innings and 46 runs at Headingley .No one would forget this test match. The domination over Britain is always very special for the Indians.
