Dhoni "THE SELFISH ARROGANT CREDIT STEALER"

This article is from my Heart. The Title may look strange, but in this country, this title would make a small proportion interested, rather than giving some titles in praise for Dhoni. Dhoni may be the most Popular cricketer after Sachin in this country, but one thing is sure, Even though Dhoni lies second to master in likes, in dislikes he is far ahead than the master. They are very few in number, but they who continuously haunts him, troll him, abuse him. That very few even wished India to lose, just see Dhoni's head down. But unfortunately, Captain Cool always treat those people or media as those three dogs in his house.
Am not here to Worship Dhoni, or to go through the milestones he achieved. We watched him, we know him, so there is no need to go through his journey and if I do Words won't be enough to describe that.  There were nearly 453 captains in cricket, but only one won all the three ICC Trophies. ICC T20 WORLD CUP,50 OVER WORLD CUP, CHAMPIONS TROPHY, NO.1 IN TESTS, ASIA CUP. Apart from the 60 OVER WORLD CUP, there is nothing left in cricket Mahendra Singh Dhoni haven't won as captain.Unfortunately, 60 Over world cup doesn't exist now. Otherwise, the Captain with 41 wins and 14 losses in the ICC Events would easily give a try. A Ticket Collector Boy from Ranchi is surely one of the most inspiring figures in world cricket, but a small proportion in his own country is just looking at the things which can only hate him. There are 2 types of Dhoni haters are in this country: First some blind fans, second the ones who see cricket only as a symbol of status. Both Former and later are barking against him, just on the basis of some 'fake' created by media or due to some silly complex, fear.
As the title says: Selfish, Arrogant, Credit Stealer! These are the areas mainly pointed out by the haters. No one in this world is perfect, but one can't simply hate a player and spread 'fake'. You may feel this as a contradiction, but one who follows cricket won't deny these facts.

1. Simply we can say: - MS averages 58+ at no.4, his best batting position. We all know that He was the ICC ODI CRICKETER OF 2008 & 2009. In those years, he batted at no.4. Then why he batted lower the order rest of his life? what did he get? TITLE OF THE FINISHER! A Job where he finishes 9 off 10  matches but will know for that only one. He made the path clear for youngsters like Kohli & Raina, by risking himself. Yes, he is selfish. He could easily resign his captaincy after the Australian whitewash, but what he did was taking the complete blame on himself, backing the bowlers and youngsters and built a team for future. Still call him selfish. When he and his partner(Faf) batting on 49 and a run were required he could easily score his deserving fifty, but giving the chance to Faf, again he proved his selfishness. They claim Dhoni was selfish to players like Yuvraj. During the 2011 World cup selection, Dhoni was hunted by the media for the inclusion of his close buddy that time, Yuvraj Singh. But no one remembers. Backing Yuvraj to pick his 5th wicket in the match against Ireland or letting an over go, so that Yuvraj could complete the required one run and complete his 50 is again his selfishness. No one will see this. When Jadeja and Ashwin don't perform, everyone will call them CSK quota and blame MS, when they pick a fifer no one will remember this gray beard man. The tremendous backing he would provide his bowlers was trendsetting.  In my experience as a cricket fan, no other captain backed the players, especially young talents like this. From Backing Joginder in his maiden final to Letting Rohit open the innings, the list goes on.....STILL DHONI IS SELFISH

2.M.S. Dhoni rose from a humble background to become one of the world’s most
celebrated cricketers and arguably one of India’s best captains ever. He is the one who never forgets the paths he traveled, as in his biopic, his cricketing life is just as big as a cricket kit bag. So he was humble and simple. In Indian Newspapers, "INDIA LOSING is a bigger headline than INDIA WINNING".
Media will haunt them, claiming different things, creating a completely fake world. We all know how they treated Legends like Dravid and Sachin after 2007 world cup. Against those people, sometimes you have to be harsh, sometimes funny, be a local boy. That is not arrogance, that's attitude. When someone says against your team, whether it is an opposite captain or a media guy, you have to react, react in a good way, coming over them and making them a rubber stamp. Once Indian Team was going to Indian Air Force base to meet up with a couple of guys there and do a bit of training with them. And there were three South African members of the support staff. They wouldn’t allow them because they weren’t Indians. And MS Dhoni stood up and said, ‘We are not coming if you don’t allow Gary and Paddy and Eric to come as well. That’s a value system. This is not arrogance, He is standing up for the team, Quality each and every team member must possess. When Ganguly retired he offered him the Captaincy, when Sachin & Kumble retired he was the first to carry them
on their shoulders. When Dravid was out of form in 2008, he backed him against the media. Dropping someone from the squad is not arrogance, its called boldness, the quality that a leader must have. In cricket or any other game, there is no role for sentiments. We should be Practical. That's what he always does. Ashish Nehra is the main example, still, the 37-year-old Pacer has potential in him, and Dhoni is the one who really discovered it. But the haters concentrate on the darker side, claiming he finished so many careers, rather than noticing the careers he built. The Current Indian Team, especially the core 7-8 players are established under him. He kept the faith even when they are failed and now the team is ready to take up any challenges. The thing I will miss the most about Dhoni is how he lifted his counterparts when everything was against them.Leading an inexperienced team is one thing, but putting faith on a team of rookie bowlers, an area where India bleed so much and providing them with the confidence to deliver deserves a medal of the highest order. Sending Pujara at no.3 in his debut test over Dravid is not his arrogance, but his leadership. He is one of the guys in the team, who knows to respect his teammates and opponents in the best manner. And if there is anything in his mind, he just speaks it out rather than keeping in his mind.

3. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a credit stealer! This is what makes a true fan laugh.
Collecting the trophy and giving it to the youngsters, standing at one side is a common picture; whether it be a series or world cup. His job is just to collect and give it to others. Sending the Player who performs well for the Post Match Press Conference is the way of stealing the credit. He takes credit, he took in England and Australia after losing the test series 4-0. Yes, whenever his country failed, he took the credit.Because of his quiet demeanor, Dhoni instilled poise in the team. He was not one to get flustered or drop his shoulders when the world was seemingly against his team.  It is a wonder then, that this man is so supremely humble. When India won the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, it was Dhoni who led the team to the win, scoring 91 not out off 79 balls (he was awarded Man of the Match too). However, knowing that this was Sachin Tendulkar’s last World Cup, he stood humbly in the shadows while the team carried Tendulkar on a victory lap around the stadium. He has got this ability to rise from the ashes. It is his temperament where he has treated those two imposters — fame and failure — in just the same manner

You could go back to 2014 t20 Semi Final vs South Africa, Virat dominated the big chase and Finally MS Got the opportunity to bat in the last ball of the 19th over. He could
easily finish things off, but he defended the ball with a smile gesture to Virat indicating that "its you who deserves to finish". In the Post match presentation followed by world cup final, he didn't utter anything about his innings, he was in full praise for Gambhir and in his words, it was clear that he desperately wanted Gambhir to complete his well-deserved century. People remembers Aravinda Desilva's century in the 96 WC final first, then only they recollect Jayasurya's total tally. Its quite natural. Everyone must take in that sense. Its not Dhoni's fault, he never claimed he is the best.He came to cricket as might a passenger at a train station, reached captaincy, runs, fame and riches not as some ruined child or as a street urchin destined to cover himself in bracelets but as a grounded and gritty young man for whom wealth was a consequence and not an aim.
We are waiting for a single day when he will say I did well, but he is always speaking about others doing well....

So When you troll or hate someone, be sure you are a bit greater than the one you target. Dhoni came, conquered and will leave. But the legacy continues..!! As Dravid said once "He is a great leader by example. Someone whom I have always admired for his ability to remain balanced and have the sense of equanimity about his captaincy", There is only one Dhoni & there won't be an another
