Its just 2 years for The World Cup!

Image
In The Biopic of MS Dhoni, there is a scene where a selector is saying to MS that "There is 3 Years for the World Cup" and he replies to them as "There is just 3 Years for the World Cup sir". This is just a dialogue, but the 'just' he uses is in his reply has got a significant meaning.Even though the media burned him, The Preparations he did from that series had a great impact in the World Cup.The 4 years before the World Cup is very crucial, especially last 2.  Indian Cricket is going through a face where "The Vice Captain of Test Cricket Team is not a permanent member in ODI cricket and the Vice Captain of ODI Team is not a permanent member of Test Team". That shows the Bench Strength of Indian Team, that much amount of young cricketing talents we are producing in our Cricket. Yes! It is good to have different team for 3 formats, rotation is a good process too. But the fact is Cricket's biggest event is nearby and now it is the time to set...

The Wanderers Cry to Motera's Laugh-The Conclusion

Image
“It's for moments like these that I play cricket" Ricky Ponting, Michael Clarke,Brett Lee, Shane Watson,Mitchell Johnson..The list goes on.. When we beat a team that ruled Cricket like a Hitler, the happiness are beyond words as Yuvi told. The moment Yuvraj roared, it was not just a Semi berth, it was the end of an empire, where Hitlers like Ponting and all ruled. It was fortune that India ended their dominance, because there is no team in the world who deserves to knock out Australiain 2011 World Cup! For India, Motera was the "Revenge" Field, revenge for the tears in Johanesburg, revenge for Greats like Ganguly and Dravid, revenge for Sachin Tendulkar, who missed a well deserved World Cup 8 years before infront of Ponting & co. In fact this revenge was started in the soil where Indians were humiliated by Kangaroos. The defeat from Coachless Dhoni-led team in the Semi Final of 2007 t20 World Cup at Durban marked the decline of Australian Cricket, followed...

Kangaroos for 2019 World Cup: Predicting the Australian team for 2019

Image
2015 marked an year of change for Australian cricket. They returned to the summit of one day internationals and started of on a new phase of change with retirement of their skipper Michael Clarke as well as other key players including Mitchell Johnson, Shane Watson and Ryan Harris. Now under Steve Smith, the Aussies' have a exciting group of players to work with, but the trouble is they all have had fitness issues. So who all among the current crop would make the cut come 2019...here is my pick including 5 specialist bowlers and a keeper. 1.Steven Smith(captain) How can a ship sail without its captain?Under current conditions there is no way Smith is not going to be in the squad to England bar a serious injury. 2.David Warner Yet another certainty...no questions asked. 3.Mitchell Starc Probably the best bowler in the world before his injury. Will make the trip bar a similar body breakdown 4.Glenn Maxwell There have been a lot of questions asked regarding his ability ...

Rise & Fall!

Image
September 22 2007; In this world anything could happen to anyone at anytime! If there is a day, there is night too.. everything have two phase; good or bad, pain or gain here  " rise and fall" suits the most. Australian Cricket Team during the period 1999-2007 was the most versatile and classic team, in any team sport like Brazil Football team. No one could even touch them. Winning the World titles for the hattrick time in 2007, Australian's Confidence was at the peak during the 2007 T20 WORLD CUP. Gilly,Haydos,Punter,Pup,Mr.Cricket,Symonds,Lee... it goes on. Any team with this squad can sit aside with full of confidence, that much the talent and skills they had. When Sreesanth dissmissed Hayden at the death, prooving to be the turning point of the match  not just marked the exit of kangaroos from the World T20 2007, Also the end of a great team & "RISE OF YOUNG BLOODS FROM INDIA". From then eventhough Australia won many matches till now, including th...

"A Legend is Born"; Rembering Bradman on his birthday!

Image
"A LEGEND IS BORN",                                           this is the title of Star Sports ad running today, a most appropriate title for this day,August 27, the day Sir Donald Bradman was born.  Historic tributes compilation  http://cricketa.us/1tSp7C4   ‪#‎ TheDon‬   A Real 'Don'    in the history of cricket.  An average of 99.94, 12 Test double tons, and 29 Test hundreds - arguably the best batsman seen in the game of cricket! On this occassion we have to go through his career, his life, some facts, stories etc.. When we look back at his career, the average itself says what he was.99.94! What a man he was. for career stats;  http://r.cricbuzz.com/Sir-Don- Bradman In the final Test at  The Oval , Bradman walked out to bat in Australia's first innings. He received a standing ovation from the crowd and three cheers fr...

‘Invincible' Opener and the eye witness of Bradman's 99.94 Great Arthur Morris passes away at 93!

Image
"Invincibles" The Australian Team of 1948 & Bradman's 99.94 would be familiar to all cricket fans.  No one would forget 1948 Ashes and final test at oval. If we didn't forget all these, then definitely we won't forget the name Arthur Morris. The  left handed opener of the great 'INVINCIBLES' passed away at the age of 93. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/cricket/34025818 Morris played in 46 Tests and scored 3533 runs at an average of 46.48, with the highest score of 206 runs. Morris was the oldest surviving Australia's Test cricketer. His career included 12 centuries and 12 fifties. Morris  became famous when he left Don Bradman behind in the famous 1948 Ashes series where he dominated with the bat by scoring 696 runs in five-match series which eventually Australia won by 4-0. His average in the series was 87 with the top score of 196. He was also popular for 'witnessing' Sir Donald Bradman bowled for a duck in his last innin...

Steven Smith to be the Successor; Smith replaces Clarke as Captain of Australia!

Image
Steven Peter Devereux Smith.During a T20 Match vs Pakistan at Melbourne in 2010, we heard this name for the first time. At that time he was just a choice for the spot of an allrounder. He was a better fielder and bowler  than a batsman. He couldn't start well too. Eventhough he made the odi debut same year, his spot was not permanent. http://www.crictoday.com/smith-from-the-next-warne-to-world-s-no-1-batsman.html But now after five years, everything changed. He keeps on scoring hundreds and winning it for australia. Now Australian side, especially in tests, if they have to win Smith has to score a hundred. What turned around him, during the five years I Don't know. May be the faith kept by Australian Selectors as well the Clarke. They trusted him, gave him enough of chances , which now leads to become successor of the 'Pup'.  https://www.facebook.com/CricketAustralia/photos/a.1619231598307361.1073741828.1558823507681504/1687894024774451/?type=1&theater May ...
