2007 is a very important year for Indian cricket fans! Especially the month of September. First Round exit, shattered wc dreams,  Masscarenas massacre to Yuvraj. Till the month of September,  apart from a Robin Uthappa Innings there were nothing to cherish. Then Comes T20 World Cup & Rest is history :-India dominating the World Cricket! There were few Who put the base to this domination,  one among them hailed from a small town in India.  Even though he made his debut earlier,  this was the first time he came to lime light. A Left Arm medium Pacer with beautiful Action. RudraPratapSingh or RP Singh. Even though He played for many years in an in and out basis, for me He was the best bowler bowled in that T20 WC. Action,jump,Swing,Pace,aggression..Everything that a Pace Bowler needed was there for RP. 4/13 against South Africa still remains one of the best match winning Spells to me.  I remember On September 24 when India takes on Rivals Pakistan ...

Whenever India visits England or Australia, Every Indian Fan would have hopes of Building a Solid Foreign CV. When India finishes off their historic Afghan Tesr at Bengaluru in 2 days, I Was there at Chinnaswamy with greater hopes, wishing this time it’s going to be tough for England. Even today I Believe, even after burying all those hopes I Believe, unlike the former visits this series were really tough for home side. Apart From the Second test, Indians were never out of the context. I would say this is the best Indian Pace attack that visited England. 287,180,396,317,161,271,246;- The Bowlers really gave their 100%. Taking 67 wickets out of 70,never allowing a good batting home side to reach 500 or 600 is really an achievement. But Still we lost. How and Why? The difference between both the sides were When Indians had Sessions,England had days. And Test Cricket is all about Days. For me the Player of the Series is Sam Curran, followed by Jos Butler and Ben Stokes. I think the...

“The bowling might be bad but when Cook thinks he wants to block it, God forbid anyone trying not to sleep”. Those Words from a Spectator at Vizag defines Alastir Nathan Cook.   For us, He was not just an opponent but a brutual nightmare. We all admired his patience From The very first 160-ball 60 and the second innings hundred at the orange city. Even now when he claims‘there is nothing left in the tank’, we admire this left hander with little bit happiness as the greatest contender for Sachin bids goodbye.  Being the Captain, losing the first test, still scoring 562 runs and winning the series is something which make him the greatest rival to this Indian Spectator. Whether it be 294 at Edgbaston or  the highest score by a visiting batsman at the famous MCG, we can just say as one of the placard said “Commit all your crimes when Cook is batting. They will go unnoticed for even the Lord is dozing off to sleep.”   No More sleeping Viewers, The King of Blocka...

2004-05 Season is considered as one of the greatest Summers for the English under Michael Vaughn.   E ngland went to South Africa having won all seven Test matches they played during the English summer.  A Proper Cricket Follower never Forget that tour as In One day Series  A Legend born in South Africa announced his arrival for England, Kevin Pietersen was the Man of the series in the shorter format. Even if the tour is famous for KP's arrival, I still remember that tour for one guy. The One who made  his debut in Port Elizabeth Test, One who had to witness his captain going for a golden duck from the non strikers end,the Only One. Long shiny golden hair, he was a brilliant fielder like Rhodes,Gibbs. At that time he was treated as a 'Rohit Sharma', the one who do not use his talent well. He Was lazy and get out at critical times. Even when South Africa were growing, chasing 400's ,he was silent at other end. Only few noticed him at that time, I was one.  ...

Saed Anwar's 194,India's record chase against England,Thriller between the rivals in 99, list goes on. Chepauk is flourished by huge history. The Chepauk crowd always appreciated cricket, especially the spirit in which the game was played. That is why the crowd gave Pakistan a standing ovation in 99, after the crackerjack of a Test that Pakistan seized with its last gasp. The Audience always had the the knowledge and were even ready to appreciate the opponents.  A generous portion of the magic that resides within storied sporting encounters is churned out by the venues that host them.We can easily relate those words by Arun Vengopal with Chepauk. Sporting Crowd reputation is one which keeps Chepauk apart. This made Chennai Super Kings, the most popular team in IPL from 2008 to 2015. The most dominated IPL franchise then, played the major role in determining the 'Outcomes' of IPL from 2008 to 2015. Chepauk is already in the verge of excitement, as the Yellow Lions ...

In The Biopic of MS Dhoni, there is a scene where a selector is saying to MS that "There is 3 Years for the World Cup" and he replies to them as "There is just 3 Years for the World Cup sir". This is just a dialogue, but the 'just' he uses is in his reply has got a significant meaning.Even though the media burned him, The Preparations he did from that series had a great impact in the World Cup.The 4 years before the World Cup is very crucial, especially last 2.  Indian Cricket is going through a face where "The Vice Captain of Test Cricket Team is not a permanent member in ODI cricket and the Vice Captain of ODI Team is not a permanent member of Test Team". That shows the Bench Strength of Indian Team, that much amount of young cricketing talents we are producing in our Cricket. Yes! It is good to have different team for 3 formats, rotation is a good process too. But the fact is Cricket's biggest event is nearby and now it is the time to set...

“It's for moments like these that I play cricket" Ricky Ponting, Michael Clarke,Brett Lee, Shane Watson,Mitchell Johnson..The list goes on.. When we beat a team that ruled Cricket like a Hitler, the happiness are beyond words as Yuvi told. The moment Yuvraj roared, it was not just a Semi berth, it was the end of an empire, where Hitlers like Ponting and all ruled. It was fortune that India ended their dominance, because there is no team in the world who deserves to knock out Australiain 2011 World Cup! For India, Motera was the "Revenge" Field, revenge for the tears in Johanesburg, revenge for Greats like Ganguly and Dravid, revenge for Sachin Tendulkar, who missed a well deserved World Cup 8 years before infront of Ponting & co. In fact this revenge was started in the soil where Indians were humiliated by Kangaroos. The defeat from Coachless Dhoni-led team in the Semi Final of 2007 t20 World Cup at Durban marked the decline of Australian Cricket, followed...

This article is from my Heart. The Title may look strange, but in this country, this title would make a small proportion interested, rather than giving some titles in praise for Dhoni. Dhoni may be the most Popular cricketer after Sachin in this country, but one thing is sure, Even though Dhoni lies second to master in likes, in dislikes he is far ahead than the master. They are very few in number, but they who continuously haunts him, troll him, abuse him. That very few even wished India to lose, just see Dhoni's head down. But unfortunately, Captain Cool always treat those people or media as those three dogs in his house. Am not here to Worship Dhoni, or to go through the milestones he achieved. We watched him, we know him, so there is no need to go through his journey and if I do Words won't be enough to describe that.  There were nearly 453 captains in cricket, but only one won all the three ICC Trophies. ICC T20 WORLD CUP,50 OVER WORLD CUP, CHAMPIONS TROPHY, NO.1 IN TEST...

"The journey thus far hasn't been a bed of roses, but if those thorns hadn't come In my way I wouldn't be half the person that I m today."                                                                                     T20's were a revolutuion, a 6ft 2in Off break opening the Bowling attack was something beyond that! 54th match of the 2009 IPL season,CSK is playing KXIP in a do or die match at Kingsmead,Durban. Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first, despite having just 116 in the scorecard, the former runnerups were in the verge of going out. Eventhough KXIP lost Sunny Sohal early, Simon Katich & Luke Pomerbach started slowly, at one stage they were 32 for 1, suddenly Dhoni introduced the wizard from one end, Muttiah Muralidaran. He got both the Australians ou...

"But this is just the foundation that's been laid for us to carry on. It's just the beginning. It's not even a tiny bit of what we want to achieve . We understand where we want to go and hopefully the guys can keep putting in this kind of effort and take the team where it belongs" Is there a smell of warning in King Kohli's words? I Feel yes! This Team wants more. They are ready to take more challenges. India losing in India is a big headline for Indian Fans. Winning in huge margins is not a big thing here. In 2001, without Kumble India Shattered the Australians, who were the Immortals visited India with 15 Consecutive Test victories in their name.Losing at Wankhede, the way India came back still remains as a phenomenal perfomance in the hearts of Indian Fans.  Situation was also similar 3 years back, when Australia was whitewashed by India(4-0). Later on the same Australia, under Pup, won the World Cup. So beating any team in India doesn't signi...
